jaidyn and street vibrations

Jaidyn noticed there were a lot of motorcycles in town this weekend.  so she asked "why are there so many motorcycles?". Dad said " because it is street vibrations, sort of like Hot August Nights, but with motorcycles instead.". Jaidyn looks out the window at a biker group and says "they think they are so cool all drssed up in their black leather but they are just loud, old and dumb.  now if an 80 yr old was on there, that would be cool.  but, they are like 60."

brynlee just a mommy

brynlee was singing a preschool song,but couldnt figure out all the words.  mom started singing the song.  Brynlee says " mom how come you know all the songs". mom said "because before mrs ramos was a teacher I taught your class". Brynlee says "oh, and I am so happy you are now just my mommy" :)

Novella parenting

Grandma Ronda and Mom were having a very intense discussion on parenting involving Cole and how to handle a certain situation.  We were driving in the car on the way home.  Novella interrupts and says "or dad could just go into Izzy's room and say are you afraid?"  We all started laughing and then Grandma Ronda finishes the conversation with some more suggestions, Novella says "get off mom's back"  Mom said "Novella!"  Novella says "what?  That's what you always say mom!"  Too smart for her own good!!!

The boy's begin

Oh my, it's been a long time since I wrote some Jaidynisms, and it's so sad because there have been soooo many that I've missed, but I just couldn't pass this one up.

So we're outside making some cute little metal washer necklaces for the activity day girls.

Jaidyn wanted to learn how to make some for her girlfriends, so we made a few with their names on them, then she says "mom can we make one for Josh?"  "Josh?  Who's Josh?"  She smiled and said "it's a boy I like".  She said "he's even cuter than Justin Bieber".  "a lot of girls like him and I told one of my friends to go tell him that I liked him, because that's what you do in fourth grade, you don't tell them in person you have someone else go and tell them' (as if I was never in fourth grade).  She said "when they went over to him I ran away and said "oh my gosh, oh my gosh" but I was really thinking oh my Josh, oh my Josh."  She said "don't worry mom though, because he's just like dad, he's cute, funny and all the girls like him" 

And so it begins....

a big cut

We were on our way home from Scheels and Jaidyn and Luis were fighting in the back, yelling things back and forth, Luis in his 3 year old ways was yelling something at her that no one could make out, then Jaidyn pipes up and yells "oh yeah, well you have no value!" Then she said "oh man, that's a big cut!" It's a good thing that Luis didn't understand what she said. the things she comes up with!

Jaidyn's ideas of places to live & Culture

We headed out to the Bay area Thursday Morning. My mom watched Luis, Luhani and Lana for us and we took Jaidyn out of school and decided to make it a date/trip, Jaidyn loves those.
Luckily the roads were clear, except for a little bit of fog over Donner pass. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get to Foster City, and we heard quite a few funny things on the way, from our 7 year old of course.

Jaidyn: "mom, is California an evil place, like Las Vegas?"

Mom: "what do you mean?"

Jaidyn: "Well, like you said that Las Vegas had lots of bad stuff there, is California like that too?"

Mom: "Well there's lots of bad stuff everywhere, you just have to live right and remember to do the right things. There are good people everywhere, it's just in the cities sometimes there tends to be more bad people and so you have to be stronger and more close to the gospel".

Jaidyn: "Oh, because I thought if it was evil, then I couldn't live there, because I don't want to be evil and a bad person."

Jaidyn: "Mom, where else has palm trees, besides California and Las Vegas" (Jaidyn loves Palm Trees)

Mom: "Arizona, Vegas, Florida, Texas and Hawaii".

Jaidyn: "Ooh, well I don't want to move to Arizona because it's too hot, and Florida has hurricane's and alligators, what's Texas like?

Dad: "You have a lot of family in Texas?"

Jaidyn: "I do? Well no, maybe I should move to Hawaii."

Mom: "we should take you to Hawaii sometime, Kjersti said that if you fly during a certain season you can get round trip tickets for $400 ea."

Jaidyn: "wow that's cheaper than the cost to fix my teeth!"

Conversation 3

Jaidyn: "Oh, look that cute Chinaman was listening to china music, I can't wait to go to China town and see all of the cool Chinese New Year things.

Mom: "Jaidyn you need to be careful with how you say things. Like if someone came up to you and said you're white, how would that make you feel?"

Jaidyn: "fine, I wouldn't get mad"

Mom: "Well some people might get offended by that, it's just not nice to catagorize people"

Jaidyn: "that's just weird, so I can't say "hey, your China man Music is so cool!"

Mom: "no, definitely not"

Chains on the toilet

After hearing a news report that "women are ruling the world" Jaidyn comments...

Jaidyn: "Mom guess what? Since we are ruling the world, guess what we can do?"

Mom: "What?"

Jaidyn: "We can put chains on the toilets."

Mom: "Why would we do that?"

Jaidyn: "so the boys can't lift them up!"
